Cem Ozdemir: Erdogan better not to interfere in German Turks’ affairs

Turks who live in Germany feel terribly alerted after Turkish PM Tayyip Erdogan released a speech in Düsseldorf. “Vatan” daily writes that the co-chair of Germany’s Green Party Cem Ozdemir expressed his concerns to the representatives of Turkish community over Erdogan’s speech.

Tayyip Erdogan declared in Germany that local Turks should learn Turkish first and make their children learn Turkish as their mother tongue and then learn foreign languages, including German. Ozdemir declared that neither Turkish PM, nor German Chancellor should interfere in the issues related to the language studies.

“Ankara can not solve the problems of my children. Ankara is better to solve its own problems. The problems pf our children who live in Germany can be solved only by Berlin,” Turkish politician said adding whenever Erdogan visits Germany he says something which harms local Turks.
