Armenia attends Annual Open Government Partnership Conference in Brazil

The Annual Open Government Partnership Conference was held in Brasilia, Brazil on April 17-18.

The conference was opened by Brazil’s President Dilma Rousseff and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

An official Armenian delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister Ashot Hovakimyan as well as civil society representatives attended the conference, MFA reported.

At a session dedicated to South Caucasus countries, Mr. Hovakimyan presented an Open Government Partnership Action Plan for Armenia.

The Deputy FM dwelt on key provisions of the Action Plan and Armenia’s commitments stipulated by Open Government Partnership. Also, he touched upon the Action Plan preparation and stressed that public bodies and civil society representatives cooperated efficiently within the framework of Open Government Partnership.
