Charles Aznavour: No justice, no recognition, no healing so far
Today world famous chansonnier Charles Aznavour shared the song They Fell on his Facebook page and wrote the following comment:
“Today, on April 24, we commemorate the 99th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. This song was composed in 1975 by Charles Aznavour and Georges Garvarentz on the 60th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. There has been no justice, no recognition and no healing so far.”
The Armenian Genocide was recognized by Uruguay, Russia, France, Lithuania, the Italian Chamber of Deputies, majority of U.S. states, parliaments of Greece, Cyprus, Argentina, Belgium and Wales, National Council of Switzerland, Chamber of Commons of Canada, Polish Sejm, Vatican, European Parliament and the World Council of Churches.
