Serzh Sargsyan congratulates Americans on Independence Day
Today Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan was hosted in the U.S. Ambassador’s residence in Armenia on the occasion of Independence Day of the United States.
Serzh Sargsyan congratulated Ambassador John Heffern, the embassy staff and the American people, the presidential press service reports.
The Armenian President also sent a congratulatory message to U.S. President Barack Obama, which reads as follows:
“Dear Mr. President,
I cordially congratulate you and the friendly people of the United States of America on the occasion of Independence Day and wish peace, prosperity and success in all your undertakings.
We deeply cherish our friendship with the United States and are pleased that through the joint efforts we have elevated our bilateral partnership to a qualitatively new level. We attach great importance to the deepening of the multifaceted Armenian-American cooperation and value your assistance aimed at the success of the undertaken reforms and establishment of a greater democracy in Armenia; we also welcome the growing American involvement in our economy.
Highlighting the importance of the United States’ continuous involvement in the process of the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict as a Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, we anticipate the incessant and active mediation for the establishment of a solid and enduring peace in the South Caucasus.”
