Nagorno-Karabakh President hosts award ceremony
A ceremony of awarding a group of individuals who registered outstanding achievements in various fields of the republic's life took place at the Artsakh Republic President's residence on Monday.
In his speech, President Sahakyan underlined that Artsakh's future to a greater extent depends on honest and painstaking work of every citizen of the republic, adding that a long term and patriotic work was always valued by our people, enjoyed love and respect of society.
Touching upon the successes registered by Artsakh sportsmen, Sahakyan noted that they gave moments of joy and pride to the whole Armenian people. According to the President, achievements of Artsakh in the sports field that have already become traditional are the result of great efforts of athletes and their coaches and the extensive work that has been carried out by the state in the field of sports for many years.
The President congratulated the awardees, expressed confidence that they will continue working with the same energy and wished success and new achievements in the New Year.
Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, National Assembly chairman Ashot Ghoulyan, Prime Minister Ara Harutyunyan and other officials participated in the ceremony, the presidential press service reported.
