Protest against turnover tax law outside government
Representatives of small and medium businesses staged a protest outside the Armenian government on Monday.
They are protesting against the Law on Turnover Tax, which comes into effect on February 1.
Alexander Ghazaryan, head of the government’s Department for Reception of Citizens and Discussion of Petitions, approached the protesters. He offered to form a group of ten people for meeting with Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan.
But the protesters rejected his offer, saying that they are demanding the revocation of the amendments to the law.
