World Chess Cup: Varoujan Hakobyan loses his chance

World Chess Cup is under way in Khanty-Mansiysk. 3 out of 4 Armenian chess-players, including Gabriel Sargsyan and Tigran Petrosyan, as well as Slovenia’s representative Sergey Movsisyan lost their chances in Round 1. Only the US representative Varoujan Hakobyan managed to reach Round 2. Though, Varoujan Hakobyan lost to Ruslan Ponomariov in Round 2 and thus, lost his chance to continue the struggle.
