Levon Aronian to defend title of World Rapid Chess Champion

Levon Aronian will defend the title of the World Rapid Chess Champion, which he attained in Mainz, Germany in 2009, in the open tournament which is to be held in Mainz August 7-8, 2010.

11 rounds will be played in the Swiss system tournament which is to have hundreds of chess players, including tens of famous Grandmasters. In each game the participants will have 20 minutes, plus 5 seconds for each move.
