Turkey’s FM Davutoglu on Armenian Genocide Resolution

Turkey’s FM Ahmet Davutoglu referred to the Armenian-Turkish rapprochement process, particularly the passage of the Armenian Genocide Resolution N252 by the US House Foreign Relations Committee, at a joint press conference with Mauritanian Foreign Minister Naha Mint Mouknass, Anadolu news agency reported.

Davutoglu said the political consultations continue with the Turkish Ambassador to the US Namik Tan, who is back to Ankara now after the US House endorsed the Armenian Resolution.

He noted that all details over the Resolution voting should be discussed with Tan to work out further steps to be taken.

Turkey’s FM highlighted that Turkey will not yield to any pressure adding: “Hopefully our interlocutors (currently the US) have received all the necessary “messages”.
