The opposition Syrian National Council (SNC) warned on Wednesday that military intervention might be the only solution to the nearly year-old crisis in the country, RT reported.

“We are really close to seeing this military intervention as the only solution,” Basma Kodmani, a senior SNC official, told journalists in Paris. “There are two evils, military intervention or protracted civil war,” Reuters quoted her as saying. “In order not to militarize, the idea is to ask Russia to exert pressure on the regime not to target humanitarian corridors,” she added.

The SNC proposes setting up corridors from Lebanon to the city of Homs, from Turkey to Idlib and from Jordan to Deraa.
