Bako Sahakyan starts year paying visits to Shoushi and Kashatagh
On 3 January President Bako Sahakyan visited the Shoushi and Kashatagh regions of the republic.
In the outskirts of town of Shoushi the President partook at the ceremony of opening the newly built transformer substation.
The Head of the State subsequently partook at the opening the “Syunik-1” hydropower station in the Aghavno-Melikashen sector of the Kashatagh region and inspected on site the construction activities of the “Syunik-2” hydropower station.
The President noted the importance of those objects for the development of Artsakh energy sphere underlining those activities in this direction would be of a continuous nature.
On the same day Bako Sahakyan partook in the Berdzor regional center at a solemn ceremony of handing over keys from a newly built apartment building.
The President considered important the development of the Berdzor town from the economic, social and political viewpoints.
At the end of the visit in the village of Melikashen of the Kashatagh region the President convoked a consultation with heads of communities of the Sonasar and Aghavno sub-districts. Issues the communities face and ways of their solution were discussed during the consultation.
Premier of the Artsakh Republic Ara Haroutyunyan, members of the Cabinet of Ministers, deputies of the Artsakh and Armenian parliaments, governor of the Syunik region Souren Khachatryan and other officials partook at the events, Central information department of the office of the Artsakh Republic President reports.
