Elimination of number one terrorist Osama bin Laden has made the world safer
Early in the morning US President Barack Obama announced the “number one terrorist” Usama bin Laden has been killed by US in a special operation. Several dozen states and international organizations have hailed the news.
Great Britain, Italy, France and several other European countries have hailed the news over Usama bin Laden’s murder.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu celebrated the killing of Osama bin Laden by U.S. forces on Sunday as a triumph for Washington and its allies in their "war on terror."
"This is a resounding triumph for justice, freedom and the values shared by all democratic nations fighting shoulder to shoulder in determination against terrorism," Netanyahu said in a statement early on Monday.
The elimination of number one terrorist Osama bin Laden has made the world safer, said European Parliament President Jerzy Buzek, cited by RIA Novosti.
“We have waken up in a safer world. Although the fight of the international community against terrorists has not finished, this is an important step in the fight with Al Qaeda, which gives safety to millions of people, to Christians and Muslims, to everyone who believes in peaceful living together,” Buzek said in a statement.
Russia also welcomed the killing of al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden by U.S. special forces. "Revenge is inescapable for all terrorists," news agencies quoted the Kremlin press service as saying in a statement.
"Only a joint struggle against global terrorism can bring a result," the statement added.
