Relics of Saint Gregory the Illuminator returned to church
The ceremony of returning the relics of Saint Gregory the Illuminator to the San Gregorio Armeno church in Italy’s Naples
and its presentation to the public is really a great historical event, a serious contribution to the preservation of Christian traditions, and confirmation of the Armenian nation’s contribution to the implementation of that mission, General Manager of VivaCell-MTS Ralph Yirikian, who was present at the ceremony along with many other guests, told Panorama.am’s correspondent.
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, who is in Italy on an official visit, on Saturday attended the Mass celebrated by Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II and Cardinal Sepe at the Saint Gregory the Illuminator Church in Naples. He also participated in the ceremony of returning the relics of Saint Gregory the Illuminator to the San Gregorio Armeno church and the unveiling and consecration ceremony of the copy of one of the cross-stones of Jugha dedicated to the Armenian Genocide in the church yard.
