Houry Gebeshyan: The Olympic Games are my last competition
Houry Gebeshyan, representing Armenia in the Rio Olympics, competed in the women’s gymnastics. Gebeshyan competed in the all-around competition and scored 53, 748 points.
However, Houry Gebeshyan will leave the big sport after the end of the Olympics, ANOC press service informs.
“I have a wonderful feeling because I have finally performed at the Olympic Games. I am very proud and excited to represent Armenia at these Games. I think I am pleased with my result as I did my best.
Every time after my performance I kiss the apparatus because the Olympic Games are my last competition. Gymnastics has given much to me and I am very grateful to it,” she said.
At the 31st Summer Olympics, Armenia has three representatives in gymnastics – Artur Davtyan, Harutyun Merdinyan and Houry Gebeshyan. European current champion Harutyun Merdinyan has qualified for the final which will be held on August 14th.
