Armenian captain wounded in mine explosion in serious but stable condition
Shiraz Sahakyan, an Armenian captain who sustained injuries on Thursday after a mine explosion in Armenia’s Tavush Province, has already been transferred to Central Clinical Military Hospital in Yerevan. As the Armenian Ministry of Health told Panorama.am, the solder underwent all the necessary medical examinations at hospital. Currently Shiraz is cared for at the intensive care unit.
The doctors assess his health condition serious but stable.
As the Investigative Committee reported, at 3 p.m. on 4 May 2017, Captain Shiraz Sahakyan, the infantry battalion commander of one of the military units of Armenia’s Defense Ministry, was wounded due to a land mine explosion while on duty in a military position. He was hospitalized at Berd Hospital of Armenia’s Tavush region.
