Roadways partly covered with clear ice in Armenia
Some roadways across the territory of Armenia are partly covered with clear ice as of 7pm November 23, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
According to the source, there are no closed or hardly passable roads in the country.
Precipitation is forecast for most parts of Armenia on 23-24 November, taking the form of snow in mountainous regions and sleet – in foothills.
Clear ice is formed on certain parts of Aparan-Spitak, Sisian-Gorayk highways, as well as Dilijan curves.
It is reportedly snowing in Jermuk, Vayk and Yeghegnadzor towns (Vayots Dzor region).
The ministry warns the drivers to use exclusively winter tires when driving in the mentioned regions.
Georgia’s Emergency Situations Department reports that Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles.
