Issues of development of cooperation between staffs of Armenia's National Assembly and Israel Knesset discussed
Armenia's National Assembly Chief of Staff-Secretary General Ara Saghatelyan had a separate working discussion with the Knesset Director-General Albert Sacharovich within the framework of the international conference of parliamentary directors-general and secretaries-general being held at the Knesset of Israel. As the parliament reported in a release, during the meeting the sides touched upon the issues on the development of cooperation between the Staffs of the RA National Assembly and the Israeli Knesset and on the necessity of exchange of experience.
Albert Sacharovich expressed readiness of large scale of exchange of experience also at level of separate and all subdivisions of the Staff.
During the discussion the Heads of the subdivisions focused on the Israeli experience of providing expert services and information, as well as the organization and implementation of the parliamentary oversight.
It is noted that about 36 specialists work in the Research and Information Center. During the meetings an agreement was reached on the direct cooperation of the subdivisions of the Staffs of the parliaments and the organization of the experts' mutual visits.
To remind, Chief of Staff-Secretary General Ara Saghatelyan takes part in the international conference of parliamentary directors-general and secretaries-general being held on the Knesset of Israel on February 20-22, where about 50 senior officials of the parliaments and international parliamentary organizations of 25 countries take part.
