Reconstruction works launched at Mashtots Avenue underground tunnel in Yerevan
Reconstruction works has started today at the underground transportation hub of Mshtots Avenue and Gr. Lusavorich Street. The entrance of the tunnel from Mashtots Avenue direction is currently closed for traffic.
Earlier the Yerevan Municipality and the Road Policy announced the reconstruction of the drainage system and renovation of the tunnel will last for two months.
Due to the ongoing reconstruction works the underground area of the mentioned hub-from Haghtanak bridge towards Mashtots avenue two-way traffic will be organized and the movement from the avenue to the bridge on the right of the dividing line will be stopped.
On the overground part of the hub the traffic will be allowed in all directions including movement forward from Mashtots avenue to Haghtanak bridge and backwards.
Meanwhile parking will be forbidden in the area from "Metropol" Hotel to Gr. Lusavorich Street and from Paronyan Street to Haghtanak bridge.
To avoid traffic jams during the construction activities drivers are offered to move along bypass road: Mashtots avenue-Saryan street-Leo street - Paronyan street or Mashtots avenue-Khorenatsi stret - Zakyan Street-Italy Square.
