Altibox Norway Chess: Levon Aronian among the leaders
Armenian Grandmaster Levon Aronian faced Sergey Karjakin in the seventh round of Altibox Norway Chess Tournament played Tuesday. The game saw another early queen swap exchange, on move 14. In the sequence that followed, most of the pieces soon disappeared and the game ended with a with a rook and minor piece plus four pawns on the kingside, in which neither player had winning chances

In the eighth round, Aronian have no opponent following a serious bicycle accident suffered by Ding Liren, who fractured a hip.
