Head of Armenian first deputy PM’s office steps down
Vahan Kostanyan, the head of the First Deputy Prime Minister Ararat Mirzoyan's office, has announced his decision to step down.
“Yesterday evening I submitted an application to Ararat Mirzoyan to terminate my duties in office,” Kostanyan said in a post on Facebook, without unveiling the reasons behind his decision.
He assumed the office one month ago on 21 May.
Kostanyan is the second official of the new Armenian government to resign after Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Mane Tandilyan, whose resignation was not signed by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
