Armenia’s defense minister discusses border upgrading issues with top officers
Armenian Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan on Sunday visited the south-western border of the country to observe the on-duty military service and talk to soldiers, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, a spokesman for the ministry, said in a Facebook post.
According to him, the minister discussed issues relegated to re-equipment of the border with top officers. He also granted encouragement awards to distinguished soldiers at the end of the meeting.
“Sasha Baloyan is from Ashotsk. He is an orderly. The match is very casual. He didn’t even recognize me. Robert Solkaryan, who can be spotted in the last photo, has returned to his homeland from Astrakhan to serve in the army,” Hovhannisyan wrote, attaching some photos of the meeting.
