Air temperature expected to drop in Armenia in next few days
Rains and thunderstorms are expected in Armenia’s northern regions in the evening hours on Wednesday, 8 August, the Hydromet Service of the emergencies ministry said, adding the precipitations are set to hit the country’s most regions from time to time on 9-10 August and separate regions on 11 August.
There is a possibility of hail in some regions in the next few days, the ministry added. No precipitation is expected in the country on 12 and 13 August.
Southwest wind speed is 5-10 m/s, with wind intensification up to 18-23 m/s possible during thunderstorms.
The air temperature is expected to drop by 2-3 degrees on 9 August, further decreasing by 3-5 degrees on 11 August.
Some corners of Yerevan, Armenia’s capital, may see rains and thunderstorms on Wednesday evening. Meteorologists forecast rains and thunderstorms for the capital from 9 to 10 August, with strong winds up to 18-20 m/s expected during thunderstorms.
No precipitation is forecast for Yerevan from 11 to 13 August.
