Turkey among least favourable tourist destinations
The British Consumers’ Association Which has published the list of the safest tourist destinations. While studying the 20 most popular destinations, experts took four indices into account: crime level, threat to people’s health, possibility of terrorism acts and natural disasters, according to RIA Novosti.
As a result, Iceland is the safest country for tourists, followed by the United Arab Emirates and Singapore. The least favourable countries’ list includes Turkey, South Africa and Thailand. Experts have highlighted their high crime level and risk of infectious diseases.
Which points out that some countries in the Middle East and Northern Africa are safer than western countries. For example, the level of crime in Jordan is lower than in Italy, France and the USA.
