More than 20 members of Georgian-Armenian-Azerbaijani gang detained in France
At least 22 members of a criminal group have been detained in France in a law enforcement operation named VORS 69-01. As Russian media outlets report, the criminal group consisted of citizens of Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan,
Among the detainees, there were 10 Georgian citizens, two of whom have the status of thieves in law. Participants of the organized criminal group are accused of flat burglaries, carjacking, the creation of false documents and the illegal distribution of narcotic drugs in France. Arrestees face up to 15 years in prison.
During the search at the defendant’s apartments, jewelry, firearms, expensive cars, large sums of money, forged documents, methadone, and 1500 cigarette packs were found.
The damage from the activities of organized crime group amounts more than 400 000 euros.
