Chief of Armenia’s Security Council meets with Trump’s special assistant in U.S.
Secretary of Armenia’s Security Council Armen Grigoryan has started a working visit to the United States, his office said in a press release.
Grigoryan held a meeting with Fiona Hill, Special Assistant to U.S. President Donald Trump, at the White House.
The Security Council chief highlighted the role of the U.S. as an OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing country in the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) peace process.
Fiona Hill, for her part, attached importance to expanding the Armenian-American partnership at different levels.
During the meeting the officials discussed issues on the U.S.-Armenian agenda, as well as the possibilities of investments and financial support.
They attached importance to the U.S support to the ongoing democratic processes and police reforms in Armenia.
The officials once again underlined the importance of settling the Artsakh conflict through exclusively peaceful means.
