‘Intelligent, determined, responsible’: Armenian PM introduces new justice minister to staff
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Thursday visited the Ministry of Justice to introduce newly appointed minister Rustam Badasyan to the staff.
In his remarks, the PM described the new minister as an “intelligent, determined and responsible person”, who is also a highly qualified professional.
“Over the past one year, Mr. Badasyan served as Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee, showing his best qualities and strong organizational abilities during the tenure. And today, Mr. Badasyan shall lead the justice system reforms in this resolute phase,” Pashinyan said.
“It is no secret that we are in a breakthrough stage in this sense, and the authorities have political will to establish a truly independent judicial system in Armenia.
“In this sense, it is crucial that the justice minister fully control the situation and be able to efficiently carry out the political messages addressed by the government,” the PM stressed.
Pashinyan also thanked former Justice Minister Artak Zeynalyan, who stepped down on 7 June, for his activities.
“I am convinced that Mr. Zeynalyan’s potential and experience will be used for building the Armenian statehood,” he said.
For his part, Rustam Badasyan thanked Pashinyan for the trust. “It must be a rather difficult job to head the ministry after such a professional as Artak Zeynalyan. I believe together with a professional staff we will be able to meet your expectations,” the minister said.
