Armenia vows continued contribution to NATO mission in Afghanistan
The delegation of Armenian defense ministry headed by Minister Davit Tonoyan participated
at the meeting of defense ministers of countries contributing to NATO’s Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan.
As the press department at the ministry reported, during the meeting held at NATO’s headquarters in Brussels, Minister Tonoyan reiterated Armenia’s commitment taken in the frames of TAAC-North within the Resolute Support mission. Minister Tonoyan also presented his vision of the conflict settlement in Afghanistan.
After the session, the defense minister held a series of meetings with counterparts from NATO member and partner countries. During the meetings agreements were reached on defense cooperation projects both on bilateral and multilateral formats. Issues of regional security and mutual interest were highlighted at the meetings, the ministry added.
