Artsakh to host pomegranate festival on Oct. 19
The Artsakh town of Martuni is set to host the third Pomegranate Festival on October 19.
Speaking to Artsakhpress news outlet, a member of the Martuni City Council and one of the event organizers, Mher Khachatryan said that this year’s festival program features a number of surprises and exciting activities.
“So far 21 individual farmers have applied for participation in the festival. In addition, communities will present their products in separate pavilions. This year we have also received applications from Yerevan. The registration process is currently underway, and all those who have a desire to present their products can apply to the Agriculture Department of the Martuni Regional Administration Office by October 14,” the official said.
He said tickets for the festival are already on sale and are priced at 1,000 drams.
The solemn opening ceremony of the festival will take place at 11am, the official noted.
