VivaCell-MTS has launched an interactive and convenient mobile application “E-Teacher” for learning languages. As the company reported in a press release, “E-Teacher” is a language learning app (currently in English only) that lets enrich one’s vocabulary, translate words and phrases, set an individual learning plan and check one’s knowledge by competing with other users. With the help of the app and at any time of convenience, one can translate words and phrases from Armenian or Russian into English and back. New words are added in the individual learning plan.

The user can also send an invitation to join in competition using any messenger tool to another user of a social network.

The advantage of the mobile app is that it provides both learning and entertainment. Thanks to “E-Teacher” one can turn his or her free time of the day to become meaningful and effective. Learning does not take much time: to increase vocabulary to perform game tasks one can allocate only 10-20 minutes a day.

The “E-Teacher” mobile application is based on a personalized curriculum, compiled for a specific user through the system. The application is very effective in terms shaping basic vocabulary. The system allows the user to get an idea of the context in which a particular word is used, and quickly remember it. The application also allows translating instantly any unknown word encountered during reading, by simply entering or copying it into the browser.

“E-Teacher” is available as an Android app and an SMS-service. SMS-service allows one to use an automated translator and learn words with the help of tasks. To subscribe to service the user needs to send “1” to the short free number 45678. In a response SMS the subscriber will get a link to download the app, as well as information about the service. Subscription is also possible directly from the application, which is available at “Google Play”.

Subscription price is AMD 40 (VAT included). At the first activation of the service the subscriber is granted a two-day trial period to use the service without limitations. Upon the end of the trial period the paid version of the service is automatically activated.
