Bright Armenia faction has yet to make a final decision on draft state budget
The Bright Armenia opposition faction of the Armenian parliament has submitted more than 150 proposals on the draft state budget for 2020, MP Arkadi Khachatryan told reporters during a briefing on Wednesday, adding the proposals are related both to the content of the document and specific programs.
“In our speeches we have outlined both positive and negative aspects of the budget. In regard to the negative remarks, the main focus is the need to take measures to envisage budget outlays for industrial, technological upgrades, expenditure programs are needed to support structural economic reforms, which will result in a shift in the GDP structure, dramatically increasing the export volumes," the MP said.
Asked how his faction plans to vote on the draft state budget, Arkadi Khachatryan said they are yet to make a final decision on the matter pending the government’s response to Bright Armenia’s proposals.
