Armenian parliament kicks off special session
The Armenian National Assembly started its special session on Thursday, with 10 items on the agenda.
The session has been convened at the proposal of the government.
According to Deputy Minister of Finance Armen Hayrapetyan, most of the issues on the agenda relate to the 4 credit agreements the government has concluded to fill the 2019 state budget deficit. "If everything proceeds smoothly, we will receive the sum in two weeks,” he said.
The draft laws are required to pass the first parliamentary reading today and the second reading – 24 hours after the first one.
