No document under consideration in NK peace process - MFA Spokesperson
“The Azerbaijani side experiences difficulties either with perception or lacks a desire to perceive,” Spokeswoman at Armenia’s foreign ministry Anna Naghdalyan told reporters at a briefing when asked to comment on Azerbaijani FM’s recent statements.
In Naghdalyan’s words, in reality, the Azerbaijani side understands Armenia’s security concerns yet only pretends to justify its maximalist approach on the matter.
“I have nothing to add than repeat that the practice of threats may not work in regard to Armenia and Artsakh. The maximalist approach of the Azerbaijani side remains the main reason for the unresolved conflict of Nagorno Karabakh. No progress is ever possible if Azerbaijan sticks to that approach,” added the Armenian diplomat.
Commenting on Azerbaijani FM Elmar Mammadyarov’s statement that numerous documents were presented to the Armenian side with the latest so-called Lavrov plan, Naghdalyan said: “As we have repeatedly clarified no concrete document is discussed at present.”
