Two earthquakes per day occurred off the coast of Kamchatka
Two earthquakes of magnitude 5.3 and 4.5 occurred in the Kamchatka Gulf off the eastern coast of the peninsula, Interfax news agency reported citing the Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
According to the source, the tremors occurred at a depth of 18 km and 73 km from Ust-Kamchatsk with an interval of only a few hours. The seismic activity was not felt in the nearby settlement.
No damage to the structures of the buildings was detected, he source said.
