Armenia permits Azerbaijan to search for missing soldier near Movses village
Armenia allowed a group of Azerbaijani de-miners to conduct a search for an Azerbaijani soldier who went missing in yet unclear circumstances days ago in the zone between the Armenian and Azerbaijani military posts near the village of Movses on Wednesday.
The search was organized at the request of the Azerbaijani side, under the mediation of Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk and with support of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
As a result of the search operation, the remains of the missing Azerbaijani soldier were found and recovered a few meters away from the Azerbaijani positions, the Armenian Defense Ministry said in an official statement.
Throughout the Armenian-authorized operation, all the security conditions were ensured for the work of the Azerbaijani group.
