PM receives Georgian defense minister
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received today Georgia’s Minister of Defense Irakli Garibashvili who is paying an official visit to Armenia, the press department at the government reported. Welcoming the guest and the members of the delegation, PM Pashinyan highlighted the continuous development of Armenian-Georgian strategic relations.
The PM noted that defense cooperation is an important component in Armenian-Georgian partnership, in this regard recalling the signing of the bilateral defense cooperation plan 2020 signed earlier at the ministry of defense in Yerevan.
Garibashvili, in turn, pointed to the friendly relations and firm partnership with Armenia, expressing satisfaction with the results of the talks with his Armenian counterpart. The interlocutors next discussed issues of bilateral relations, including those pertaining for the agenda of Armenian-Georgian defense cooperation.
Speaking about the challenges of the regional security, Pashinyan and Garibashvili exchanged views on of existing conflicts and the importance of mutual efforts aimed at their peaceful settlement.
