Former Prime Ministers of Armenia who announced readiness to provide personal guarantees in court to change the detention measure for Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharyan, will not avoid attending the court hearing, Levon Kocharyan, the son of the jailed president said. “There is an agreement with them, and they are ready to come to the court. I assume there will be no problems, and I am sincerely thankful to them for that step, since I am more than sure they will be targeted by pro-governmental circles,” Levon Kocharyan said.
To remind, earlier ex-President Kocharyan’s defense team issued a statement saying Armenia’s former PMs Vazgen Manukyan, Khosrov Harutyunyan, Karen Karapetyan as well as former PM of the Artsakh Republic Anushavan Danielyan plann to submit personal guarantees for changing detention measure of Robert Kocharyan.

Levon Kocharyan went on questioning judge Anna Danibekyan’s ability to ensure fair trial, citing the months-long practice of refusing all previous petitions filed by Kocharyan’s defense team.

In the words of Levon Kocharyan, the judge is under pressure especially after the case with another judge Davit Grigoryan who faced criminal investigation after ruling to free the ex-president from custody.
