A coronavirus patient has died due to delayed emergency care - Pashinyan
There are some 200 coronavirus infected patients in Armenia who are waiting for hospitalization, Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan stated on Saturday at the briefing following the meeting at the Commandant’s Office.
“Our healthcare system has become overwhelmed to the extent that we are unable to hospitalize patients who require hospital treatment,” Pashinyan said.
In the words of the PM, there has been a case when a patient had died due to the delayed emergency care. He added that the cause of the death was partly because of the relatives who failed to report accurate information about the patient’s condition to the health service.
Another two deaths were recorded in a hospital department, while they would have to be at intensive care unit, according to Pashinyan.
