Former presidents Levon Ter-Petrosyan, Robert Kocharyan to leave for Moscow to discuss situation around Nagorno-Karabakh
Armenia's first President Levon Ter-Petrosyan and second President Robert Kocharyan have expressed a desire to leave for Moscow and discuss the situation around the Nagorno Karabakh conflict with representatives of Russian elite and based on discussions present concrete proposals to the Government of Armenia on the matter.
As Spokeswoman of Armenia's PM Mane Gevorgyan informed, the idea of the former presidents' visit to Moscow has been discussed with PM Pashinyan on October 20, when the latter hosted former presidents of Artsakh Republic Arkady Ghukasyan and Bako Sahakyan.
The former presidents of Artsakh had also suggested to discuss the results of the possible visit with former and current leaders of Armenia and Artsakh.
"Prime Minister Pashinyan stressed that he cannot impede any steps to the benefit of Armenia and Artsakh and gave his consent to the suggestion. According to the information we have, the former presidents have not left Armenia yet. In any case, the Prime Minister and the Government are open to consider proposals for the settlement of the occurred situation and have never refused to discuss those ideas," Georgian added.
