Defense Ministry reports no serious injuries after military truck crash in Gegharkunik
The Armenian Defense Ministry says no one was seriously injured in the wake of a military vehicle crash in Gegharkunik Province on Saturday.
Hraparak reported earlier that a KamAZ military truck crashed in the village of Artanish, leaving two soldiers wounded.
“Only two servicemen sustained minor injuries, which are not a matter of concern,” Defense Ministry spokesman Aram Torosyan told Panorama.am.
It came after four Armenian soldiers were killed and 20 others injured on Friday when a military vehicle carrying them veered off the road and fell into a ravine in the Meghri district of Armenia’s Syunik Province. The Armenian Defense Ministry said the accident happened at around 3:25 p.m. local time.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
