Artsakh issue is a matter of generations, Tevan Poghosyan says
The diplomatic process of the Artsakh issue is in a standstill to a certain extent, MP Tevan Poghosyan told reporters at a press conference on Friday, adding Artsakh people are ready to struggle for their future on their own.
“Unless Artsakh is back to the negotiation table, there will be no peaceful solution to the conflict. By that time we should realize we face an enemy with a single dream to take Artsakh through a military force. We should have a powerful army and proper armament, corresponding resources, at the same time boost the economy and promote democracy, while being able to speak openly on all these issues,” stressed Poghosyan.
The Parliamentarian doubted the possibility of conducting any serious negotiations today. “I was the one of those, who stated that Artsakh issue is a matter of generations. The issue is expected to pass through three–four generations at least. Recently I visited the frontline. In my interactions with the local authorities, military, I understood people think not of surrendering rather taking back what is lost and make the enemy leave any idea of attacking again,” concluded Poghosyan.
