Turkey’s Erdogan a second Talaat Pasha, who is even an enemy to his own nation, Dersim Armenian says
“Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is a second Talaat Pasha – the enemy of the ethnic minorities – who is even an enemy to his own nation,” Dersim Armenian Hovhannes Ohanyan said in an interview with reporters at Tsitsernakaberd Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex.
“My parents have always told me who we are. I have always been aware of my Armenian identity. Today I have regained my roots, as I have converted to Christianity from Islam. Currently I am a member of the St. Kirakos Armenian Church in Dersim,” he said.
In Hovhannes Ohanyan’s words, Armenia or Armenians do not have to do anything to make the world recognize the Genocide. The world is aware of it anyway. Everyone will gradually recognize that fact, even the Turks,” the Dersim Armenian expressed conviction.
