Armenia’s MFA clarifies if Armenian citizens are among the injured in Iran supermarket blast
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Armenia is clarifying whether or not there are Armenian citizens or ethnic Armenian among the injured in the supermarket blast in Iran’s southern city of Shiraz, MFA Spokesman Tigran Balayan told Panorama.am.
“We have submitted an inquiry to the Armenian Embassy, but we have not received a reply yet,” he noted.
To note, a powerful blast hit a supermarket in the Iranian city of Shiraz at 01։00 local time. According to the preliminary data, 37 people sustained injuries. 15 of the injured were hospitalized.
The cause of the explosion still remains unknown. According to initial findings, a gas leak may have caused the blast.
