Artashat mayoral elections: Rival of PM Hovik Abrahamyan’s son quits election race
Hovhannes Ghazaryan, the only rival of Argam Abrahamyan, the son of Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan in the Artashat mayoral elections, has quit the election race, a representative of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) told Panorama.am.
Ghazaryan earlier announced his decision speaking to Aravot newspaper. He said he made the decision after discussing the issue with his family, adding that a younger person must hold this office.
The Artashat mayoral elections will be held on June 7.
