HERMAN WIFELLS: “INTERNATIONAL CRISIS LESS DANGERIOUS FOR ARMENIA”
On October 11, the Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sargsuan has had a meeting with World Bank Netherlands branch executive director Herman Wifels, said Diana Mnacakanyan, the press secretary of the Prime Minister.
The key topic of the meeting was the financial-economic crisis, its developments in Russia and the possible reflection on Armenia. The sides have also discussed the rate of the damage cost by Georgian-Ossetian conflict on the economy of Armenia.
According to Herman Wifells, though the international crisis is deepening, Armenia will have less impact of it. He said that according to the previsions of the World Bank and World Monetary Fund in 2009 the highest economic growth rate will be fixed in Armenia.
