Azerbaijan moved 3 of Armenian captives to a third country: Red Cross
Azerbaijan has transferred three of Armenian captives to a third neutral country, Ashot Astabatsyan, the manager of International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) communication projects, told Panorama.am. To the question where exactly the Armenian captives have been transferred, ICRC representative refused to answer.
“I am not authorized to answer to your question, since our mandate is a kind of limited and the United Nations Organization handles with it,” Red Cross representative said.
Azerbaijani mass media outlets informed that by the UN mediation three Armenian captives – Hrant Markosyan, Rafik Tevosyan and Vardan Sargsyan, have been transferred by their own to a third country.
Today, on March 17, Armenian side will be repatriating an Azerbaijani captive. Armenia is expected to get back one its civilians captivated by Azerbaijan.
