Karakhanyan: State caring about regional stability would not keep border closed
“Turkey’s President is highly recommended first to think carefully and then to make statements,” RPA Council member Vazgen Karakhanyan said commenting on Turkish President Abdullah Gul’s statement claiming “I believe Azerbaijan’s occupied territories will be liberated.”
Speaking to Panorama.am Mr Karakhanyan said instead of making “ungrounded” statements and “intervening” in others’ affairs, Gul is urged to ratify the Armenian-Turkish protocols and to recognize the Armenian Genocide.
“Senior Turkish officials must understand that making pro-Azerbaijani statements they contribute to more unbridled steps. Country caring about the regional stability would never keep a border with neighbor state closed and would not encourage Azerbaijan to be more lawless. One thing is obvious, Turkey is not honest in its statements,” said V Karakhanyan.
