Bako Sahakyan congratulates teachers: ‘We are very much grateful to you’
Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan issued a congratulatory address on Teachers’ Day.
“Dear teachers,
On behalf of the Artsakh Republic authorities and myself I cordially congratulate you on the professional holiday, Teachers’ Day, a really public holiday which is traditionally celebrated in our country as an expression of profound respect for the teacher’s profession.
All of us remember our teachers, their lessons and precepts with special warmth and reverence, that guide us during our whole life. It is a hard and simultaneously interesting work, very responsible and too important for our country and people. Human personality is formed and his future life path is outlined at school age, and the teacher’s role in this process is indeed inestimable.
With your wisdom and kindness, patience and self-devotion you educate and bring up the younger generation, transferring your knowledge, skills, part of your great soul. We are very much grateful to you for this, dear teachers.
Be confident that your problems are always in the spotlight of the NKR authorities, as education and science are among the key priorities in the life of our state.
Once again I congratulate all teachers of Artsakh and wish peace, robust health and great success in their patriotic mission.”
On the occasion of the Teachers’ Day, Bako Sahakyan signed a decree according to which for attaining substantial success in educating and upbringing of the younger generation the honorary title of NKR Honoured Pedagogue was conferred on the following individuals:
Sasha Avanesyan, mathematics teacher of the Moushkapat village school in the Martouni region;
Zhora Margaryan, director of the Aknaghbyur village secondary school in the Askeran region;
Anahit Poghosyan, director of Stepanakert N7 basic school.
