Serzh Sargsyan, John Kerry have phone conversation
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan had a phone conversation with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry on the evening of November 18, the presidential press service reported.
The conversation was requested by the American side.
The two discussed issues related to Armenian-American bilateral relations and cooperation as well as issues regarding the meeting of Armenian and Azeri Presidents on November 19 in Vienna, which will be held with the participation of the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group and the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office.
On the eve of the meeting in the Austrian capital, the U.S. Secretary of State reiterated the unequivocal support of the United States for a peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The parties stressed that there is no alternative to a negotiated solution of the conflict and noted that it is necessary to find mutually acceptable mechanisms for the resolution of the conflict based on the fundamental principles.
