Plane makes emergency landing in Yerevan due to drunk Azerbaijani passenger
An Aeroflot airline plane, which was heading from Dubai to Moscow, made an emergency landing in Yerevan due to a drunk Azerbaijani passenger, RIA Novosti reports.
One of the passengers on the plane began insulting other passengers, speaking loudly and bothering the children. The passengers helped the flight attendants to tie him to the seat.
The plane made an emergency landing in Yerevan at 5:00 am.
“The plane stopped for about 2.5 hours. The pilots tried to hand over the man - an Azerbaijani citizen - to the Armenian police, but the authorities refused to accept him. The doctors injected him with sedatives and he fell asleep. Then the plane continued the flight,” said the passengers.
The plane landed in Moscow three hours late. The man was detained by Moscow police.
