National Archives has three programs for Armenian Genocide centennial
Three programs are being prepared by Armenia’s National Archives for the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, director Amatuni Virabyan told reporters on Thursday.
The first program is the publication of materials in Armenian and foreign languages, he said.
“The second program envisages collection of documents on material and cultural losses of Armenians and the third program is the making of a list of the Armenian Genocide victims,” the National Archives director noted.
The Armenian Genocide was recognized by Uruguay, Russia, France, Lithuania, the Italian Chamber of Deputies, majority of U.S. states, parliaments of Greece, Cyprus, Argentina, Belgium and Wales, National Council of Switzerland, Chamber of Commons of Canada, Polish Sejm, Vatican, European Parliament and the World Council of Churches.
